And Happy Christmas + extra gratitude to St John’s Church and those at Hackney Council who’re committed to making Hackney Central a more lovely place.

• Enjoy hot cider, mulled wine, mince pies and festive food.
• Skate for free in the pop-up skating rink.
• Visit Santa in his grotto.
• The characters of Hackney Empire’s pantomime take to the streets.
• Carol singing, jazz, soul, gospel and traditional choral music.
Programme of Events
Our Christmas Market is part of a collaboration involving Hackney Council and a number of Hackney Central attractions, including St John at Hackney, Sutton House, St Augustine’s Tower and Hackney Empire. There are events for all tastes and age groups at various venues.
Sat 3rd and Sun 4th December
On both days, there will be Christmas Carols at 2pm outside St Augstine’s Tower.
The Tower will be open to the public on both days. On the Saturday there will be festive arts for all ages (spooky silhouette art installation and create your own sparkly lantern).
Nearby will be Clarence Mews Studio’s Festive Fair, while Santa’s Grotto will be at the Sutton House Craft Fair.

Sat 10th and Sun 11th December
Santa’s Grotto will be in St Augustine’s tower from 11am–5pm (£2).
A free pop-up ice rink comes to the North Gardens of St John at Hackney, outside the front of the church. The Christmas Forest will be there too, and you drive your car in to pick up a great-looking real tree.
From 11am on the Saturday, there will be Guest appearances by the characters from Hackney Empire’s acclaimed pantomime, on the narroway opposite M&S.
On the Saturday, there will be choir rehearsals at 12.30pm and 2pm, with the Winter Voices Concert at 4pm in St John at Hackney Church.
Sat 17th and Sun 18th December
Santa’s Grotto will be back in St Augustine’s tower from 11am–5pm (£2).
Drop in to Hackney Museum (10am-5pm) and complete the festive trail by filling in the clues to win a prize.
